The ECO Artist Program was established through our charitable partner, Arts Hamilton with the net proceeds of the 2009 ECO Film & Arts Festival. This fund assists local and student filmmakers, photographers and artists in creating environmentally-inspired works that will be featured at our annual festival.

The net proceeds from every year will go to the ECO Artist Program.

The ECO Film & Arts Festival is proud to screen some of the finest environmental documentaries in the world, but even prouder to nurture our own talented local people.

The “support local” philosophy is a cornerstone of the environmental movement. The commitment to supporting community-based initiatives is key to creating a sustainable local economy.

Just as important, is the need to support the local creative community.

Accordingly, the ECO Film & Arts Festival is pleased to announce the first ECO Artist Program and Ripple Effect Awards.
